The FabIndian Trip stimulated my thought much. Not to mention how great the people are and how 'Indian" the experience is, just the reflection that this trip gives me is worthy enough; yet to be frank I wished to come home asap at that moment.
Have you ever thought of the true meaning of result oriented?
People in the organization is measuring competencies of its members about 'being result oriented'. We are recruited as members and being allocated in specific team because we are 'result oriented'. Maybe to some teams, like ER and Exchange, they should be more 'result oriented'. We are even told and taught to be more 'result oriented'.
Yet, have you ever noticed that people are taking the meaning of the words too complicated?
Being result oriented is simple. It's not about any scoreboards and scorecards only; it's not about planning and tracking only; and it's not about accountability and governance only. Being result oriented is simple: MAKE THINGS HAPPEN.
After these 3 years, I see people enjoy much on processes, even myself.
Let's refresh, my fellow, there is not result oriented people if there is no result. Whenever we speak about result, organizational wise, it should be contributing to the growth of it in the short run and long run.
The President = overall growth and success of the organization ER = increased resources and network ($ and in-kind) Comm = attracted right people TM = selected the right people, trained the right people to be more 'right' Exchange = increased realization of exchange figure Finance = growing and sustainable financial health AIESEC = increased number of leaders with identity of AIESEC, giving true positive impact on society
